They are a completly normal - if equally arbitrary - feature of German and I'm used to them, but I admit that they rarely make sense.

-CBAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14358662713107140021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-563944954644918709.post-34096334341588270332013-05-24T04:33:09.002+01:002013-05-24T04:33:09.002+01:00Fun read. I still don't quite get why gender is a feature, but I'm sure it'll make sense some day.

Also, If you add a pick up to the song, you can fit in that extra syllable from the beginning. As for gender: I just recall that it was difficult for me to adjust to words having that characteristic when I first started learning Latin, since I come from an English-speaking background where words lack that feature. Coming from Spanish, which is much closer in structure to Latin than English, I imagine it would be a much easier transition. I'm very fond of Spanish, by the way, though I'm even worse at it than Latin. :-)FPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07762247581563990997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-563944954644918709.post-88552264250450900822013-05-23T21:15:51.601+01:002013-05-23T21:15:51.601+01:00Awesome work! My knowdlege of Latin is poor at best but as I was reading I realized that "est" should go at the end and that "magia" is the correct form despite everyone tendency to use magicus.

That said, I didn´t quite get your problem with the gender of the words. Maybe because in spanish window is female? My point is that I don´t get why you bother to point out the gender of the words or why they seem strange to english speaker but like I said, spanish speaker here so I might be missing something.

Still, awesome!
